Farewell Mrs Cleaver

Wow it’s an end of an era. Last term saw the school farewelling our Principal Mrs Cleaver as she headed off to her well deserved retirement. Mrs Cleaver originally started work at Bankwood School as a New Entrant teacher before eventually moving into her role as the school principal. It was an emotional day for all on her last day and despite being in the middle of a pandemic the children were able to show her their aroha and respect. Pohutukawa invited her into their room and adorned her with a Queen Bee crown and leis they had made and gave her their farewells. Later in the day the rest of the school met outside to give her a proper send off.

Thank you for all the years you have dedicated yourself to our school Mrs Cleaver. Enjoy your retirement and make sure you regularly pop back and see us.
